Assalamualaikum / Hi.

Today, I’m going to talk about DevHub Malaysia, which is formerly known as Startup Developer Malaysia. It is Malaysia’s largest independent tech community on Telegram platform with over more than 2500 subscribers and tech developers all around the nation.

History

It was in 2016 when it first meet up, where an initiative by Ahmad Faisal, the founder to have a community meet up which initially to bridging the gap, between startups and developers – I guess you directly know how the name was decided. The startup companies usually have ideas, innovation ideas but to execute their ideas, they require developers, software developers. With this meet up, hoping to bridging the gap between startup companies and developers. The community hoping that developers easily to be able to tap with startup companies, and working on ideas implementation, and vice versa. Then, there been several meet up since then, here are  at MaGIC, Cyberjaya and BIT Group, Cyberjaya.

What’s in 2019?

2019, it’s been a huge move. We having Bank Negara Malaysia, as our co-organiser! And the theme for this time is Fintech (Financial Technology).With collaboration from Bank Negara Malaysia to provide venue, hoping this will be a great event for both startup companies and developers.

Why Fintech?

Personally, IMHO, fintech is quiet interesting and it’s a mystery for me, how exactly developers works in fintech industry and how startup companies initiate their ideas and build up startup company that focus on fintech. It’s time to bridging the gap between startup companies and developers on fintech scene! Some of sites I’ve been visit for fintech information:
